Ryan Thomas Lane (born November 23, 1987 in Fullerton , California ) is an American actor .
life and career
Ryan Lane was born in Fullerton , the youngest of three children to Jill and William Lane . He has two older sisters. He has been deaf since birth . His parents divorced when Lane was eight years old. He graduated from the California School for the Deaf in 2007 .
Ryan Lane had his first role in 2007 in the short documentary I See The Crowd Roar: The Story of William Dummy Hoy as William Hoy . This was followed by guest appearances in the series Cold Case - No victim is ever forgotten , Dr. House and Miami Medical . Lane has had a supporting role in the series Switched at Birth since early 2012 . There he embodies the deaf Travis . He was also seen in the 2014 film Veronica Mars .
