Miami Medical (working title: Miami Trauma ) is an American drama series directed by Jeffrey Lieber . It was produced by Warner Bros. Television in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Television. As Executive Producer acted Jerry Bruckheimer , while Iain Paterson and Christina M. Kim as producers were involved. Trevor Morris was responsible for the music . It started on April 2, 2010 on the US broadcaster CBS .

In May 2010, CBS announced the end of the series after only seven episodes aired.

action

The series focuses on the hospital team at Miami Medical Hospital , one of only three designated trauma centers in the United States. They specifically took care of cases where life was in danger. Doctors are particularly under pressure because they usually only have about an hour, the so-called golden hour , to stabilize the patient's condition before the injuries affect the whole body. This could lead to organs not actually being affected failing.

production

After it was announced in April 2008 that the Emergency Room hospital series would end in May 2009, CBS had a new hospital series under development for the 2009-2010 season. In February 2009, CBS announced the production of a pilot episode . At the beginning of March 2009 Lana Parrilla , Jeremy Northam and the British Richard Coyle joined the cast. At the end of March, Elisabeth Harnois and Aimee Garcia were cast.

On May 16, 2009, CBS ordered Miami Trauma as a series and initially ordered 13 episodes. Some recasts were announced shortly after the order was placed . Richard Coyle was exchanged for Mike Vogel . In mid-December 2009, the series title was changed from Miami Trauma to Miami Medical .

Cast and dubbing

The German synchronization was for a synchronous book and the dialogue director of Hans-Jürgen Wolf by the synchronous company EuroSync GmbH in Berlin .

Charisma

After the series was ordered in May 2009, CBS announced a start date for the so-called midseason. In December of the same year, April 2, 2011 was given as the start date. The series was shown there on Fridays until July 2, 2011. On average, the 13 episodes were followed by around seven million viewers, 1.83 million of them from the advertising-relevant target group of 18 to 49 year olds.

In Germany, ProSiebenSat.1 Media had secured the rights to the series and decided to broadcast it on sixx . The broadcast of the series began there on July 29 and ended on October 21, 2011. In Germany, an average of 70,000 viewers (0.6 percent) of the advertising-relevant target group and 90,000 viewers (0.3 percent) of the total audience watched the short-lived series.
