Ryo Takeda (* 1983 in Wiesbaden ; real name Johannes Ryo Herms ) is a German speaker and singer.

Life

Ryo's mother is a Japanese concert pianist and his father is an actor. After an initial period in Hamburg, he went to Stuttgart to complete training in speech education. In favor of music he gave up his studies and made his first album recordings as a member of Ryoma after his return to Hamburg . In 2009 he went to Erfurt, where a network of artists had formed in the Zughafen , including Clueso . There he worked on his solo debut.

Together with Zughafen co-founder Norman Sinn , he wrote the song Planlos , with which the two took part in the Federal Vision Song Contest for the state of Thuringia on October 1, 2010 . They finished 6th at the end.

Ryo released his debut album So Seen Impossible at the same time as the competition. With the song Planlos , he and Sinn made it into the German single charts. In 2012 he released his EP Grünes Rauschen , on which u. a. Manuel Fischer-Dieskau as a musical guest.

Ryo Takeda has been working as a speaker since 2011. Among other things, he was on a Germany-wide reading tour with short stories by the Japanese author Haruki Murakami . In addition to readings with literary programs, he works as a reciter, speaker, moderator and speaker etc. a. for TV spots, image films and announcements in public transport.

Ryo Takeda is married and lives with his family in Leipzig.
