Hemitrichia is a genus of slime molds from the order of the Trichiida . It includes sixteen types.
features
The fruiting bodies are stalked or sessile sporocarp or plasmodiocarp . The upper part of the peridium is obsolete, the lower part remains in the form of a goblet or cup.
The capillitium consists of hollow, elastic threads that are linked together to form nets and the surface of which is sculptured by three to six often distinct spiral bands. The spores are red, orange or yellow in bulk, pale or almost colorless in transmitted light , their walls are warty, reticulated or finely prickly.

The genus is distributed worldwide, ten of the sixteen species are also found in German-speaking countries.

The genus was first described by Józef Tomasz Rostafiński in 1873 , the type species is Hemitrichia clavata . The genus includes sixteen species:
