Ryōta Moriwaki ( Japanese 森 脇 良 太 , Moriwaki Ryōta ; born April 6, 1986 in the Fukuyama ) is a Japanese national football player .

Career

Ryōta Moriwaki learned to play football in the youth teams of Sanfrecce Bingo Jr. Youth and Sanfrecce Hiroshima . He signed his first contract with Sanfrecce Hiroshima in 2005. The club from Hiroshima , a port city in the southwest of the Japanese main island of Honshū in the Hiroshima Prefecture of the same name , played in the country's first division, the J1 League . The 2006 and 2007 seasons he was loaned from the second division Ehime FC . In 2008 he returned to Hiroshima after the loan. In the meantime, the club played in the second division after being relegated in 2007. In 2008 he became champion of the J2 League and rose straight back to the top division. In 2010 he was in the final of the J. League Cup , which they lost 5-3 against Júbilo Iwata . In 2012 he celebrated the Japanese soccer championship with Hiroshima. After the championship, he left the club and joined the league competitor Urawa Red Diamonds . In 2013 and 2016 he was with the Reds in the final of the J. League Cup. In 2013 they lost the final against Kashiwa Reysol 1-0, in 2016 they won the final against Gamba Osaka on penalties. In the Emperor's Cup it was in 2015 and 2018 in the final. In 2015 they lost to Gamba Osaka, in 2018 they won against Vegalta Sendai . He celebrated the runner-up in 2014 and 2016. For the Reds, he completed 185 top division games. In 2020 he was signed by the second division side Kyōto Sanga from Kyōto .
