S'Express

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

S'Express , also S-Express and later S · Xpress , was an acid house studio project by British DJ Mark Moore, whose biggest hit, Theme from S-Express, came from 1988.

biography

With Theme from S'Express , S'Express took first place in the British singles charts for two weeks in April 1988 at the height of the acid house movement . The track was also very successful in Germany and took second place. The single climbed to the top of the American dance charts and the Swiss hit parade . With Superfly Guy and Hey Music Lover , two more releases from the gold award-winning debut album Original Soundtrack were placed in the British Top 10 by the beginning of 1989 .

The second album of the project was released in 1990 under the title Intercourse . Although Mantra for a State of Mind , Nothing to Lose and Find 'Em, Fool' Em, Forget 'Em were able to place three more singles in the UK charts, the success steadily declined, which was reflected in falling sales figures came.

It wasn't until 1996 that another track hit the top 20 of the British charts with The Return Trip , a remix of the Theme from S'Express .
