São Cosme do Vale is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .

São Cosme do Vale is part of the Vila Nova de Famalicão district in the Braga district . The community had an area of ​​6.3 km² and 3049 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).

On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Vale (São Cosme), Telhado and Portela were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Vale (São Cosme), Telhado e Portela . Vale (São Cosme) is the seat of this newly formed municipality.
