The former municipality ( Freguesia ) belongs to the district ( concelho ) of Coimbra . The community had a total area of 4.6 km² and 1012 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
In the course of the administrative reorganization in Portugal on September 29, 2013, São Martinho de Á ?? rvore was merged with the municipality of Lamarosa to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de São Martinho de Árvore e Lamarosa . The headquarters of the new municipality was São Martinho de Á ?? rvore.
