São Martinho de Bougado is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .
São Martinho de Bougado belongs to the district and city of Trofa in the district of Porto . The community had an area of 14.4 km² and 15,153 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Bougado (São Martinho) and Bougado (Santiago) were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Bougado (São Martinho e Santiago) . Bougado (São Martinho) is the seat of this newly formed community.
