Santiago de Bougado is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .
Santiago de Bougado belongs to the district and the city of Trofa in the district of Porto . The community had an area of 14.5 km² and 6395 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Bougado (Santiago) and Bougado (São Martinho) merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Bougado (São Martinho e Santiago) .
