Location of the municipality in the district before the 2013 territorial reform

São Nicolau is a former municipality ( freguesia ) in the northern Portuguese city ​​of Porto . The community had 1908 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).

With the territorial reform in Portugal on September 29, 2013 , the municipalities of São Nicolau, Vitória , Cedofeita , Santo Ildefonso , and Miragaia were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Cedofeita, Santo Ildefonso, Sé, Miragaia, São Nicolau e Vitória .
