São Pedro is a place and a former municipality ( Freguesia ) in the Portuguese district of Faro . The community had 14,553 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).

São Pedro was one of the inner city parishes of Faro.

With the territorial reform of September 29, 2013 , the municipalities of Faro (São Pedro) and Faro (Sé) were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Faro (Sé e São Pedro) . Sé (Faro) became the seat of the new municipality.
