União das Freguesias de Faro (Sé e São Pedro) (short União das Freguesias de Faro , also Faro (Sé e São Pedro) and Freguesias de Faro ) is a municipality ( Freguesia ) in the district ( Concelho ) of Faro in southern Portugal .

The municipality represents the inner city municipality with the historic old town of Faro.

44,119 inhabitants live in the municipality on an area of ​​74.75 km² (as of 2011 figures).

The municipality was created in the course of the regional reform in Portugal on September 29, 2013 by merging the municipalities of Sé (Faro) and São Pedro . Sé became the seat of the municipality, the former municipal administration of São Pedro continued to exist as a branch office and citizens' office.
