São Pedro is a Portuguese parish ( freguesia ) in the Angra do Heroísmo district . It has 3460 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).

Holy Spirit Chapel "Império do Espírito Santo da Rua de S. Pedro"

One of the most famous buildings in the municipality is the Império do Espírito Santo da Rua de São Pedro chapel, built in 1795 , which is considered to be the oldest chapel of the Holy Spirit on the entire island. The name of the builder is not known. The chapel, which was renovated in 1989, is located on Rua de São Pedro, the municipality's main commercial street.
