São Pedro da Afurada is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northwest Portugal .

São Pedro da Afurada belongs to the Vila Nova de Gaia county in the Porto district . The community had an area of ​​1 km² and 3579 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).

On September 29, 2013, the parishes of São Pedro da Afurada and Vila Nova de Gaia (Santa Marinha) merged to form the new parish União das Freguesias de Santa Marinha e São Pedro da Afurada .
