São Simão is a former municipality ( freguesia ) in the Portuguese district ( concelho ) of Setúbal . The community had 7,224 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).

In the course of the administrative reorganization in Portugal in 2013 , the municipality was dissolved and merged with the municipality of São Lourenço (Setúbal) to form the new municipality of Azeitão (São Lourenço e São Simão) . The seat of the municipality was São Lourenço.
