São Vicente do Pigeiro is a locality and former municipality in Portugal .

history

Finds and excavations prove a prehistoric settlement of the area. Today's town came into being after the Medieval Reconquista and became an independent municipality in the 16th century.

With the territorial reform of 2013 , the municipality of São Vicente do Pigeiro was dissolved and merged with São Manços to form a new municipality.

São Vicente do Pigeiro was a municipality ( freguesia ) in the district ( concelho ) of Évora , in the district of Évora . 364 residents lived in it (as of June 30, 2011).

In the course of the local reorganization of Portugal after the local elections on September 29, 2013, the municipality of São Vicente do Pigeiro was merged with São Manços to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de São Manços e São Vicente do Pigeiro .
