Saxon publishing price

The Saxon Publishing Prize is awarded annually for special publishing achievements by the Saxon State Ministry for Science and Art and the Saxon State Ministry for Economy, Labor and Transport in cooperation with the State Association of Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia of the Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels . It is endowed with 10,000 euros and was first awarded in 2018. The award is to take place close to World Book Day .

The Saxon Publishing Prize is intended to make the work of Saxon publishers visible and to make special publishing achievements known. A jury made up of representatives from the book trade , libraries , media and the ministries involved selects the respective award winner.
