Sägmühle , the desolation of a wasteland , was an officially named part of the former municipality of Pillnach .

The location of the former sawmill on the Großer Leithenbach is today in the municipality of Kirchroth in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen . The place belonged to the Catholic parish of Pondorf .

The Historical Atlas of Bavaria describes Sägmühle as a re-establishment after the community was formed in 1818, but before 1840. The last mention in the official registers of Bavaria was with the census data from 1961 for the area as of October 1, 1964, as an abandoned wasteland. In 1969 the place name was canceled.
