Söderköpingssten

The Söderköpingssten , with the no. OG KJ59 (earlier no. Ög N 269), is a rune stone made of gneiss from the pre -Viking era . The rune stone was found in 1936 in the Drothem parish in the municipality of Söderköping in the Swedish province of Östergötland County at the Patergärdet farm on the edge of a ditch.

The inscription in the older Futhark is on two of the sides of the block, on one short side and on the top. The latter is considered a magic rune. The stone is now in the State Historical Museum .

The controversial text reads: I Sigmar ... von ... built this stone ...
