Dellen is a lake system in the Swedish province of Gävleborgs län . The system consists of two lakes: The Norra Dellen ("Northern Dellen" ) and the Södra Dellen ("Southern Dellen" ).

The Södra Dellen has a surface of 52 km² and contains 1,226 million m³ of water. The surface of the Norra Dellen is 82 km², its volume 1.489 million m³.

The roughly circular lake system is the result of a meteorite impact about 89.0 ± 2.7 million years ago ( Upper Cretaceous ). The impact crater is approximately 19 kilometers in diameter.

The two lakes are connected by the Norrboån Sound . The Svågan flows into the northern lake at Friggesund , while the Delångersån drains the southern lake at Näsviken to the Gulf of Bothnia .
