The Svågan (also Svåga älv ) is a source river of the Delångersån in central Sweden .

Svågan has its origins in Stor-Valsjön in the far north of the province of Gävleborgs län . From there it flows in a south-southeast direction through the municipalities of Ljusdal and Hudiksvall .

After about 80 km it flows into the Norra Dellen near Friggesund . In the lower reaches it shows a strongly meandering behavior. The landscape through which the river flows is called Svågadalen .
