Sönke Gerhold

Sönke Florian Gerhold (* 1979 in Hamburg ) is a German lawyer and professor at the University of Bremen .

Life

After high school and military service, Gerhold studied law at the University of Kiel , where he completed his studies in 2006 with the first state examination in law. After his legal clerkship, he passed his second state examination in 2008 in Schleswig-Holstein. Since 2006 he has been working as a research assistant at the Kiel Institute for Criminal Sciences with Monika Frommel . Under their supervision, he was promoted to Dr. iur. PhD. In 2012 Gerhold completed his habilitation and received the Venia legendi for the subjects of criminal law, criminal procedure law, media criminal law and criminal law history.

This was followed for Gerhold from 2012 to 2014, the representation of the chair for criminal law at the University of Regensburg and from 2014 to 2016 the representation of the chair for criminal law, criminal procedure law and penal law at the University of Bremen . Since the summer semester of 2016, he has held the full chair for criminal law, criminal procedure law, media criminal law and penal law in Bremen.
