Søsten

The Boulder Søsten (also called Havrum Søsten or Søsten Lindelse - German  "Seestein" ) is located off the streets, on a meadow by Snaremose Sø (lake), in a bird sanctuary between Lindelse and Fuglsbølle in the municipality of Südlangeland on the Danish island of Langeland .

Langeland's largest boulder is made of granite and about 4.0 meters long. 3.8 meters wide and 2.3 meters high.

Legends

An angry troll woman didn't like the sound of the church bell on the island of Strynø . In her anger, she threw a large stone to destroy the church, but did not hit it. The stone has landed where it is now. The sorceress did not give up and filled her apron with gravel and stones to build a dam from Langeland to Strynø. When she got to the middle of Lindelse Nor, she fell into a hole, so most of the material fell into the water and formed the island of Flintholm. Furious, she tore her apron and threw the remains of gravel towards the church, but the apron fell into the sea near the Fårevejles peninsula. The gravel formed the small islands of Kueholm and Asholm, they are called Køuerne.

When the children of Klæsø and the surrounding area asked where the small children came from in the old days, the answer was that the stork fetched them from Søsten. It should be a door in the stone.
