Until December 2006, Sydlangeland Municipality was a Danish municipality on the island of Langeland in what was then Fyns Amt . Since January 2007 it has been part of the newly formed Langeland Municipality , together with the municipalities of Rudkøbing and Tranekær , which encompasses the entire island of Langeland.

Sydlangeland municipality was created in the course of the administrative reform of 1970 and included the following Sogn :

• Fodslette Sogn
• Humble Sogn
• Lindelse Sogn
• Magleby Sogn
• Tryggelev Sogn
