Ejby Kommune was until December 2006 a Danish municipality in what was then Fyns Amt in the north-west of the island of Funen . Since January 2007 it has been part of the new Middelfart municipality together with the “old” Middelfart municipality and Nørre Aaby municipality . The Ørslev stone bowl is a baptismal font in the Ørslev church near Ejby.
Ejby Kommune was created in the course of the Danish administrative reform of 1970 and comprised the following Sogn :
- Balslev Sogn and Ejby Sogn (rural municipality Balslev-Ejby )
- Brenderup Sogn (rural municipality Brenderup)
- Fjelsted Sogn and Harndrup Sogn (rural municipality Fjelsted-Harndrup )
- Gelsted Sogn (rural municipality Gelsted)
- Husby Sogn (rural municipality Husby)
- Ingslev Sogn (rural municipality Ingslev)
- Tanderup Sogn (rural community Tanderup)
- Ørslev Sogn (rural municipality Ørslev)
