Up until December 2006, Haarby Municipality was a Danish municipality in what was then Fyns Amt in the west of the island of Funen . Since January 2007 it has been part of the new Assens municipality together with the old Assens municipality , the Glamsbjerg municipality , the Tommerup municipality , the Vissenbjerg municipality and the Aarup municipality .
