Until December 2006, Nørre Aaby Municipality was a Danish municipality in what was then Fyns Amt in the northwest of the island of Funen . Since January 2007 it has been part of the new Middelfart municipality together with the “old” Middelfart municipality and Ejby municipality .

Nørre Aaby Municipality was created in the course of the Danish administrative reform of 1970 and comprised the following Sogn :

• Nørre Aaby Sogn (Rural Municipality of Nørre Aaby)
• Asperup Sogn and Rorslev Sogn (rural municipality Asperup-Rorslev)
• Føns Sogn (rural municipality Føns)
• Udby Sogn (rural municipality Udby)
