Until December 2006, Aarup Municipality was a Danish municipality in what was then Fyns Amt in the west of the island of Fyn . Since January 2007 it has been part of the new Assens municipality together with the "old" Assens municipality , Glamsbjerg municipality , Haarby municipality , Tommerup municipality and Vissenbjerg municipality .
