Gelsted Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Vends Herred in what was then Odense Amt , then to Ejby Municipality in Fyns Amt , which was merged into Middelfart Municipality in the Syddanmark region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .

2307 inhabitants live in the parish, 1685 of them in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish is the church "Gelsted Kirke".

Neighboring municipalities are Tanderup Sogn in the southwest , Ørslev Sogn in the west, Ejby Sogn in the north and Fjelsted Sogn in the northeast , and Rørup Sogn in the neighboring Assens municipality in the east and Kerte Sogn in the south .
