Südfactoring (own notation: SüdFactoring) is a German financial services institution with headquarters in Stuttgart . It was founded in 1972 and is wholly owned by the Landesbank Baden-Württemberg . The company's headquarters are located on Pariser Platz in Stuttgart's Europaviertel . Südfactoring is one of the 500 largest German companies in terms of turnover.

history

Südfactoring has been a direct subsidiary of Württembergische Girozentrale since it was founded in 1972. The purpose of the company was initially to process the factoring for domestic customers of the Girozentrale. The share capital was 500,000 German marks . In 1986, factoring at Südfactoring exceeded the volume of one billion German marks for the first time, at that time the customers came primarily from the textile industry , precision mechanics and optics as well as the furniture industry. In 2007 the Landesbank Baden-Württemberg took over the factoring of the Rewe Group with the subsidiary “R-Procedo Factoring GmbH” , which was later integrated into Südfactoring. Südfactoring has had a supervisory board since 2012 , with which Landesbank Baden-Württemberg recognizes the company's “strategic importance”.

Products

The company's core business is factoring : This means that Südfactoring takes over the claims of other companies in whole or in part and protects them in the event of default or loss of claims . Südfactoring receives a fee for this, which is usually based on the amount of the claim. In addition, you can take over the entire accounts receivable accounting for the customer, including dunning and debt collection . According to the annual financial statements, Südfactoring's services are primarily aimed at medium-sized companies with sales of at least one million euros. There is a cooperation with the sister company Südleasing .
