The term south-east or south-east (SO, English SE) denotes a secondary direction that is the bisector between the directions east and south . In the sense of an azimuth or a course , southeast is exactly 135 degrees . The sun is exactly in the southeast at 9:00 a.m. ( solar time ). The adjective for this is southeast .
