Southeast German Historical Commission
The Southeast German Historical Commission is an association of scientists from Germany and Austria to research the history and culture of Germans in south-east Europe .

The commission was founded in 1957 by the former National Socialist Fritz Valjavec , Einsatzgruppe D of the Security Police and SD , and is based in Tübingen in the Institute for Danube Swabian History and Regional Studies . Valjavec was then a member of the Presidium.
According to the association's statutes, the number of members is limited to 70. Admission is based on the proposal of the board of directors and is subsequently elected by the annual general meeting. The Commission publishes two publications in bulk.
