The Südpark is a wooded park in Obersendling .
In 1969 and 1970, the Sendlinger Wald was redesigned in an area of around 60 hectares to become today's Südpark.
It is bounded by the federal autobahn 95 (Olympiastraße), Inninger Straße, Holzhausener Straße, residential buildings on Aichacher Straße, a short stretch of Höglwörther Straße, Surheimer Weg, Zielstattstraße, again Höglwörther Straße and Boschetsrieder Straße .
The south park offers extensive walking paths, lawns for sunbathing, several children's playgrounds, an exercise path , table tennis tables , a skater facility , curling lanes and a toboggan hill in winter.
A municipal horticulture office is now housed on the site of the former animal body recycling in the forest (Inninger Str. 30). The primary school on Zielstattstrasse and the district sports facility Surheimer Weg 3 in Munich are located on the eastern edge of the Südpark
The nearby district “Am Südpark”, which is located in the south and was named after the Südpark, was built in 2015 for around 2500 people and 400 jobs.
