Sünit

Sünit ( Mongolian Сөнөд , also circumscribed as sonid, sünid, sönid, sonid or sunid ) is a Mongolian term, meaning :

  • Inner Mongolian administrative districts included in the Xilin Gol League (錫林郭勒) :
    • for the Qing dynasty divided into two “ banners .” The “Prince” Demchugdongrub (Teh Wang) came from this region , who in 1936 founded the autonomous government of Bǎilíngmiào (百靈廟, W.-G .: Pailingmiao, Mongol .: Bat Khaalga or Bathahalak ), then was President of the Mongolian military government or of Mengjiang State (1939–1945).
    • today two so-called districts, the left (蘇尼特 左旗) and right (蘇尼特 右 旗).
  • the tribe living there .
  • the southern Mongolian dialect spoken in the region , with around 40,000 native speakers ( ISO 639-3: mvf).
