Sławomir Cenckiewicz
Sławomir Cenckiewicz (* 1971 in Gdynia) is a Polish historian and publicist .
life and work
Cenckiewicz studied history at the University of Gdansk and received his doctorate there. He works for the IPN and the University of Gdansk. The focus of his work is the Polish political emigration and the anti-communist opposition in the People's Republic of Poland .
In 2006 he advised Antoni Macierewicz on the dissolution of the Polish Military Intelligence Service WSI and was then appointed by Radosław Sikorski to head the WSI liquidation commission.
He is the author of numerous publications, including in the magazines “ Wprost ” (Warsaw), “Arcany” (Krakow), “Niepodległość” (New York-London-Warsaw), “Biuletyn IPN” (Warsaw) and four books. His last two books SB a Lech Wałęsa. Przyczynek do biografii (Communist Secret Police in the People's Republic of Poland (SB) and Lech Wałęsa ) and Sprawa Lecha Wałęsy (Lech Wałęsa case) deal with the same subject, the first approaching the matter more scientifically and the second more popularly.
