The BFC Südring is a German soccer club from Berlin . Home of the club is the stadium on Lobeckstrasse . In the past, the club also played in the Züllichauer Strasse stadium and the Willy Kressmann stadium .

society

The BFC Südring was founded in 1935 as SC Südring Berlin and follows the tradition of the workers' sports club SpVgg Fichte Berlin, which was dissolved in 1933 . Until the end of the Second World War, the SC Südring played no role in the higher-class Berlin football. In 1945 SC Südring was dissolved and re-established as SG Südring .

The SG Südring already took part in the Berlin City League , which was held in four groups in 1945/46 , and achieved third place in their group behind SG Osloer Straße and SG Mariendorf . Due to the associated qualification for the future single-track city league, also called Oberliga Berlin, Südring was able to hold onto Berlin's top division until 1951. In 1947 it was renamed SC Südring, three years later the Berlin FC Eintracht split off from the club . The parent club then appeared from 1950 under the name BFC Südring . At the sporting level, the BFC shuttled between the top and amateur leagues without exception until the mid-1960s. In 1963, after two play-offs (1: 1.2: 0) against SC Gatow , Südring qualified for the newly created regional football league in Berlin . The BFC Südring held the regional league until 1968 with mostly secured midfield positions. In the following season, the BFC climbed back into the amateur league, only slightly behind the BFC Meteor 06 .

Subsequently, the BFC disappeared in the lowlands of West Berlin local football. Only in 1974 reached Südring again the runner-up in the amateur league behind SC Staaken . After relegation in 1975, Südring was unable to return to higher leagues. The current league (status: 2018/19 season) is the ninth-class district league A.
