Cathy Overton-Clapham (born Cathy Overton on July 19, 1969 in Winnipeg , Manitoba ) is a Canadian curler . In the 2018/19 season, she will play third in the team around Skip Laura Walker .

Career

At her first Junior World Championship in 1990, Overton-Clapham was the skip and won the bronze medal with her team.

Overton-Clapham won the silver medal at the 1995 World Curling Championships as third in Skip Connie Laliberte 's team.

At the Curling World Cup in 2005 and 2009 , she finished fourth.

At the 2008 World Championships in Vernon Overton-Clapham won the gold medal with the Canadian team led by Skip Jennifer Jones . The team finished second in the Round Robin. The page playoff game was lost to China with Skip Wang Bingyu 5-7, while the semi-final against Japan (Skip: Moe Meguro ) was won 9-8. In the final against China, the team won 7-4.

Overton-Clapham won the bronze medal at the World Curling Championships on March 28, 2010 with the Canadian team led by Skip Jennifer Jones . In Swift Current , Canada , the team defeated Team Sweden around Skip Cecilia Östlund with 9: 6 stones in the game for 3rd place .

After the 2009/10 season, Jennifer Jones' team separated from Overton-Clapham and Kaitlyn Lawes took the position of third. In the following years she was skip of her own team. In the 2016/17 season she played in several competitions in the team of Swiss Silvana Tirinzoni as a replacement for the injured Manuela Siegrist . In 2017/18 she was third in the Chelsea Carey team , replacing Amy Nixon . In the 2018/19 season she plays third in Laura Walker's team .
