SDK-51
The Intel SDK-51 (MCS-51 S ystem D esign K it) is a single-board microcomputer and development system based on the Intel MCS-51 (8051 single-chip microcomputer). The system was produced from 1981.
With the kit, programs are entered in MCS-51 assembly language , translated into MCS-51 object code and executed under the control of the system.
The SDK-51 uses the external ROM -less version of the 8051, the 8031. It is operated with a supply voltage of 5 V and 12 V and clocked at 12 MHz. It has 1 KB RAM ( 2114 ) and 8 KB ROM (2 × 2732), which can be expanded up to 16 KB RAM and 16 KB ROM. The operating system as well as the built-in assembler are available in the ROM. A membrane keyboard with 51 keys and 12 command keys (3 × 4 matrix) are available for input . The output takes place via a line with 24 alphanumeric LED displays. There is a parallel interface with 22 lines ( TTL compatible) and a serial interface up to 4800 baud . The 8041/8741 , the 8243 and the 8251 were used as peripheral modules for this purpose.
It optionally supports memory and interface configurations:
- an RS-232 serial compatible printer terminal
- Connection option for storage on an audio cassette
- EPROM program memory
- Upload and download function for the Intellec development system.
