SEKAB ( Svensk Etanolkemi ) is a Swedish chemical company based in Domsjö near Örnsköldsvik .

SEKAB produces bioethanol for the biofuels E85 and ED95 as well as chemicals based on them.

In 1973 MoDo sold its chemicals business to Statsföretag and the company was renamed Berol Kemi. In 1983 Stiftelsen Svensk Etanolutveckling (SSEU), based in Örnsköldsvik, was founded to promote ethanol as a fuel. In 1985, SEKAB was founded by splitting off the ethanol business from Berol Kemi.

These include ethyl acetate , where SEKAB has an annual production capacity of 35 kt, acetaldehyde and acetic acid .
