The Perschmann Group is a wholesaler for quality tools and a service provider for the calibration of measuring equipment. Its headquarters are in Braunschweig . Perschmann employs more than 450 people and achieved unconsolidated total sales of over 130 million euros in the 2015 financial year. The family company is managed in the fifth generation by Justus Perschmann .
The company group includes the companies Hch. Perschmann GmbH (Germany), Perschmann Calibration GmbH (Germany) and Perschmann Sp. Z oo (Poland). Since 1993 Perschmann has been a partner company of the Hoffmann Group , Europe's leading system partner for quality tools. The sales area in the tool trade extends from East Lower Saxony through North Hesse, Saxony-Anhalt, Brandenburg, Berlin and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to the eastern border of Poland. Perschmann Calibration operates nationwide and in neighboring countries.
history
In April 1866 Heinrich Perschmann opened a shop for iron, steel, brass goods and tools on Braunschweig's Hagenmarkt . From this went the Hch. Perschmann GmbH. Huh is an abbreviation for the first name Heinrich.
In 1894 the son Carl Heinrich Friedrich Max Perschmann joined the company. The two of them published an illustrated and priced tool catalog in 1901 - the first in the Braunschweig region and a sensation at the beginning of the 20th century. Carl Perschmann Sr. expanded the range from 1910 and focused on quality goods. In the middle of the First World War, he built a new company headquarters on Reichsstraße in 1917.
In 1930 the eldest son Heinz Perschmann joined the company, soon followed by the younger brother Carl Heinrich Leuthold Georg Perschmann (Carl Perschmann jun.). They modernized the bookkeeping and opened a department for agricultural engineering. After the Second World War, the brothers rebuilt the trading company from ruins and expanded it in 1960 to include a new building on the corner of Reichsstrasse and Küchenstrasse. The building was designed by Friedrich Wilhelm Kraemer .
In the 1960s, Ulrich Perschmann (son of Heinz Perschmann) and his cousins Achim Perschmann and Heinrich Karl Perschmann (sons of Carl Perschmann jun.) Took over the family business as the fourth generation. In 1978 the cooperation with the Munich Hoffmann GmbH quality tools began. In 1986 the company headquarters was relocated to Wenden . Since then, a six meter high wrench has marked the company premises.
In the early 1990s, Perschmann experienced an era of upswing. The management made the strategic decision to focus on quality tools and to give up or sell various business areas. In 1991 the Hch. Perschmann GmbH opened a sales office in Berlin . From 1993 the company set up a calibration laboratory at the Braunschweig site, from which Perschmann Calibration GmbH emerged after twelve years.
In 1996, in association with the Hoffmann Group, Perschmann dared to take the step towards internationalization. The first foreign branch was established when Perschmann Sp. Z oo was founded in Poznań . From 2003 to 2007 there was another subsidiary in Great Britain. Perschmann Ltd. Birmingham was a joint venture with Oltrogge & Co. KG from Bielefeld. With the company Oltrogge, which is also a partner of the Hoffmann Group, Perschmann has been working closely in the areas of purchasing and logistics since 2001.
Justus Perschmann , son of Ulrich Perschmann, has been managing the group as managing partner since the beginning of 2002 . Under his leadership, SAP software was introduced in 2011 and the company's headquarters were expanded. As part of the company's 150th anniversary, the inauguration of the new “Market and Customer” building took place in April 2016. The building functions as the new company headquarters and is home to a tool world. At the same time, it forms the main entrance to the company premises, which is also known as the Perschmann campus.

Huh Perschmann GmbH
The Hch. Perschmann GmbH, based in Braunschweig and Berlin, sees itself as a system provider for quality tools and products for metalworking and metal processing . It has over 250 employees at both locations. The core range includes tools and accessories from the fields of machining, clamping technology, measuring technology, grinding and cutting technology, as well as various impact and assembly tools. The company's products also include factory equipment and workshop supplies. Perschmann maintains an additional warehouse in Lehrte for the factory equipment. The tool dealer sells the products via a catalog and an online shop in cooperation with the Hoffmann Group.
Perschmann Calibration GmbH
Perschmann Calibration GmbH is based in Braunschweig and Nuremberg and employs over 100 people. It is a sister company of Hch. Perschmann GmbH.
Perschmann Calibration specializes in the calibration and recalibration of measuring equipment . The German accreditation body approved the company according to DIN EN ISO / IEC 17025: 2005 for over 50 measured variables, such as B. time and temperature, tension and pressure, torque and length, accredited. The calibration can be carried out stationary in the laboratories in Braunschweig and Nuremberg or directly at the customer's site. Since 2015, Perschmann Calibration has also had an accredited mobile laboratory for the calibration of torque wrenches and torque wrenches .
According to the company, the calibration service provider is one of the market leaders in Europe with up to 3,000 calibrations per day. Perschmann Calibration also sells its own measuring equipment management and calibration software trendic®.
Perschmann Sp. Z oo
Perschmann Sp. Z oo is a 100 percent subsidiary of Hch. Perschmann GmbH with over 60 employees. The company was founded in 1997. From its Poznań location, it sells the Hoffmann Group's range throughout Poland.
Ulrich Perschmann Foundation
The Ulrich Perschmann Foundation was founded in 2012 by the former managing director Ulrich Perschmann. The non-profit foundation supports children and young people as they grow up to be self-reliant and, for example, supports learning to read. It awards up to four scholarships and cooperates with the Braunschweig Community Foundation .
In addition, the Perschmann Group is involved in a variety of projects, such as B. for the Hoffmann Group Foundation.
