The SG Hörlitz (full name Sportgemeinschaft Hörlitz ) was a sports community from Hörlitz in what was then Senftenberg in Brandenburg , whose football department briefly played a role in Brandenburg football in the post-war years. The place Hörlitz is today in the municipality of Schipkau in the district of Oberspreewald-Lausitz .
history
After the end of World War II , communal sports clubs were formed throughout the Soviet occupation zone . The SG Hörlitz was established in the industrial town of Hörlitz in the Lausitz lignite district , which was characterized by the lignite mine and briquette factory Meurostolln .
In the district class Westlausitz, the SG Hörlitz took ninth place in the 1946 season and fourth place in the 1947/48 season. As a result, the SG Hörlitz received a place in the newly formed state class Brandenburg in 1948 , but rose from their East relay in 1949 as penultimate table again. In the following period the SG Hörlitz became the company sports community (BSG) Meurostolln , which was incorporated into the BSG activist Senftenberg in 1954 .
BSG Empor Hörlitz, founded in 1962, and FSV Empor Hörlitz, which emerged from this in 1990, are part of the tradition of the Hörlitzer sports associations . Empor Hörlitz has been playing in the 10th class district league in South Brandenburg since 2003.
