Stephan Marc Schneider

Stephan Marc Schneider (born May 17, 1970 in Karlsruhe ) is a German composer.

Life

After theory lessons, jazz improvisation studies and classical guitar lessons etc. a. with Andreas Grün he studied composition with Ulrich Leyendecker at the Hochschule Heidelberg-Mannheim .

His works have been heard at international performances and radio broadcasts (including Australia, Israel, Lithuania and Italy). He has received awards at various international composition competitions, such as the Wittlich vocal music week, the composition competition in Winterthur, the composer's workshop of the Hamburg State Opera and the Johann-Joseph-Fux Music Prize of the State of Styria . He also received grants from the Wilhelm Müller Foundation and the State of Styria.

Schneider is a founding member and guitarist of the composer conspiracy, which has existed since 2008 .
