The Société Nationale de Constructions Aéronautiques de l'Ouest , abbreviated to SNCAO , was a French aircraft manufacturer .

The SNCAO was created in 1936 as part of the nationalization of the French aircraft industry as a merger of three factories: from Breguet in Nantes -Bouguenais and Loire-Nieuport in Saint-Nazaire and Issy-les-Moulineaux . It merged with SNCASO in 1941 .

When the SNCAO was current when the ceasefire in the Battle of France in 1940 40 flying boats of the type SNCAO CAO.30 and 12 fighter aircraft of the type SNCAO CAO.200 in production. However, these planes were never completed. One promising project was the SNCAO CAO.700 heavy bomber , the prototype of which took off for its first flight in June 1940 shortly before the end of the fighting.
