SNR 0509-67.5
SNR 0509-67.5 is the name of the remnant of a supernova that took place in the Large Magellanic Cloud around four hundred years ago . Before the supernova , the exploding star was a white dwarf that was about 160,000 light-years from Earth and exploded with unusually strong brightness . Calculations on the course, duration and shape of the supernova, which were carried out with various methods, showed that the theories describing the course of a supernova apparently largely agree with reality. Therefore, the sequence and process of the supernova, which was subsequently “calculated in advance”, is of particular importance.
