history

Shooting under the name of St. Hubertus has existed in Paderborn-Elsen since May 5th, 1962. The independent shooting club St. Hubertus Elsen was founded as a department of the St. Hubertus Schützenbruderschaft Elsen on September 9, 1993. The club's own shooting sports center with 16 air rifle and eight electronic small-caliber Meyton systems as well as an adjoining restaurant area was built in Elsen's Mühlenteichstrasse industrial park and opened in September 1997. In 1999, due to the continuous youth and development work, he was appointed the first youth performance center of the Westphalian Rifle Federation . The organization of the Bundesliga finals in Paderborn in 2007 and 2008 also played an important role in the club's history, as it was accompanied by a regional and national gain in prestige for the sport and club. In 2008 the air rifle shooting range was modernized and equipped with 16 fully electronic Meyton systems. District, district, state champions, German champions, European and world champions as well as an Olympic champion are now shooting in and for the St. Hubertus Elsen shooting club.
