SUPER (also SUPER © - acronym for Simplified Universal Player Encoder & Renderer ) from eRightSoft is a free video and audio conversion program. It uses the libraries of the open FFmpeg project for decoding and encoding and offers a graphical user interface so that users do not have to rely on command line commands .

Functions

The main function of SUPER is the conversion of audio and video files, but it also has the properties of a media player (the MPlayer is used for this ) and can download video streams . Furthermore, the software from the US developer eRightSoft can also be used to stream the audio tracks from an AVI or MKV container. And with the "Mux Video & Audio Streams" function you can add an audio file again, but this is limited to just one audio file. SUPER can also join VOB files with the "Join Format-Identical Files" function. This means that it is easier to convert the multiple VOB files on a DVD in one piece or to stream the audio tracks in one piece. If there are problems converting, for example subtitles are inserted even though the "Hide Subtitles" function is activated, the "DeMux Extract Streams" function helps to separate the video stream from all other streams. Audio files that are too loud or too quiet can easily be re-adjusted with SUPER under the options and a lot more can be done with the software.

Supported file formats

SUPER supports the most popular audio and video formats, such as ASF , AVI , FLV , MPEG ( MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 ), QuickTime (MOV and QT), RealVideo (RAM and RM), Matroska , AAC , MP3 , Ogg Vorbis and WAV .

It is also often used to adapt videos for mobile devices, e.g. B. for mobile phones ( 3gp ), iPods and PSPs .

System requirements

Possible violation of copyrights and licenses

SUPER contains libraries of some open source programs, including Cygwin and libavcodec , without revealing the source code .

In addition, some of the DLLs used , for which eRightSoft has no permission, are protected by copyright. These include DLLs from companies such as Apple , RealNetworks and Vivo Software (now part of Real Networks).

Installation of a trojan

In the free version 2020, the user will be hijacked the Trojan Win32 / Trickedurl.A! Svchost if it is not caught by an antivirus program. This allows an attacker to remotely control the computer.
