The SV Heidingsfeld 1919 is a sports club from the Heidingsfeld district of Würzburg . In addition to football , the club has departments for tennis , ladies' gymnastics and Nordic walking .
history
The club was founded on February 17, 1919 in the Frankenbräukeller restaurant as a football club. Two months later, the first game to be won 11-0 was played in Lohr am Main . In 1926, the club rose for the first time in the Lower Franconian district league. During the Second World War, sporting activities came to a standstill.
On January 27, 1946, the Tuspo Würzburg-Heidingsfeld was formed from various Heidingsfeld sports clubs. After three years, the founding clubs of this large club, including SV Heidingsfeld, went into business again.
In 1954, SV Heidingsfeld was promoted to the Lower Franconian regional league, in 1978 the club was promoted to the regional league as champions of the regional league and in 1985 to the Bayern league under player- coach Werner Lorant . Participation in the DFB-Pokal 1983/84 (2nd main round) and DFB-Pokal 1987/88 (1st main round) also fall during this period . Relegation from the Bayern League in 1995 was followed by relegation from the regional league the following year.
In the 2012/13 season the SV Heidingsfeld won the championship in the district league 1 Würzburg and thus rose to the district league Lower Franconia West. In 2017 they got down again.
