The SV KALTERN is an Italian ice hockey team from Caldaro , the Italian currently in the second highest league, the Italian Hockey League , plays. Legally he still belongs to the sports club Kaltern (KSV). The home stadium has a capacity of approximately 1,800 seats. Most of the team's players come from the municipality of Kaltern, the home municipality of the club. There is a special rivalry with the "pirates" of the HC Eppan Pirates , who are based in the neighboring municipality of Eppan .

Farm team regulation

From August 2010, SV Kaltern was the farm team of HC Pustertal from the Italian A1 series . The two clubs signed a three-year agreement. The main reason for the farm team regulation was the "exchange" of youth players, who get match practice at SV Kaltern in the A2 series and can prove themselves in the A1 series at HC Pustertal.
