The SV Kiekebusch is a German football club founded in 1903 with headquarters in the Cottbus district of Kiekebusch in Brandenburg .

history

Established until the post-war period

The SV Kiekebusch was originally founded in 1903 in the village of Kiekebusch, which was still independent at the time. Nothing is known anymore about the affiliation within a league during this time. After the Second World War , the original association was dissolved for the first time, and SG Kiekebusch emerged from the members in 1948 . This team took in the season 1948/49 at the Landesklasse Brandenburg part. Within the East relay, the team finished fourth in the East relay with 23:13 points at the end of the season. In the following season, the team apparently no longer took part in the league.

After reunification

After German reunification , SV Kiekebusch was re- established in 1990. In the 2003/04 season he played in the 2nd district class in the Niederlausitz football district and took second place there with 53 points, allowing the team to move up to the 1st district class for the next season. The club was able to hold this league after the 2004/05 season with 38 points over 9th place. In the following seasons, the team was able to work its way closer to another promotion, but in the end never managed to get promoted. After a bad 2009/10 season, relegation followed at the end of the 2010/11 season. After this, the team was canceled and only the youth teams took part in the game.

New start as a gaming community

As of the season, the team joined together in a syndicate with the neighboring TSV Cottbus . Together, the SpG took the starting place in the district league Niederlausitz of the TSV, with 64 points the team landed immediately after the first season in 3rd place and thus just missed the promotion. This finally worked in the following season, after which one was allowed to leave the division in the direction of the regional league with 71 points over second place. The team still plays in this league today.
